Trevor Caswell's Mom and Dad had a record collection that was the envy of all his friends- from Sinatra to Hendrix and all stops in between and Trevor spent a lot of time mining that collection, learning what he could. It was the folk and blues sounds that stayed with him most of all and sent him digging further at the local record shops. One hot summers day when a friend left a harmonica at his house he went and got himself a rack to hold it around his neck the way his heroes did. Nothing to do then, but head out onto the streets and start busking- banging and hollering! Dylan, Guthrie, Leadbelly- those classic folk styles served him well and continue to do so...
Trevor has released four well received CDs of original music spanning styles from folk to acoustic blues to 1960's pop. "An absolute pleasure to hear live" Trevor's performances also have a wide range, from intimate solo shows to appearances with a full band including violin and cello. With the addition of a National steel guitar and that ever present harmonica, seeing Trevor live is a definite treat. Basing himself out of Kamloops, B.C. he tours between that province and Ontario appearing in cafes, theatres and festivals wherever he can. With a new recording project under way you should be hearing more from Trevor very soon.
